Hi! I'm Margot Stokreef
My philosophy is to make yoga accessible for all ages and bodies through a compassionate approach that is empowering and grounded in tradition.

I started my yoga journey in 1991 in Tokyo, Japan where I was given a prenatal practice by a very wise doctor.
Twelve years later I found my way to yoga and graduated in 2009 from the Breathe Yoga Teacher Training Program.

I have continued to be an avid learner and passionate about all things yoga. I have completed further teacher training in Yoga for Seniors, PreNatal and Post Natal, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga and Ayurveda, and Yoga Therapy Program at Yoga Therapy Toronto. I am certified to lead teacher training programs and run 200 hour Yoga Alliance trainings, Yoga for Seniors Teacher Trainings and Vinyasa for All Teacher Trainings.
In 2017 after two and a half years and over 1000 hours of study and practicum, I became certified as a Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) in the lineage of T. Krishnamacharya.

The foundation of my group teaching practice is a strong daily practice and the principles of yoga therapy.
I offer private classes and yoga therapy (virtual during lockdown) and in person at Downward Dog Yoga or through Yoga Collective TO.

I am a Certified Yoga Instructor (Yoga Alliance) and Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) who lives and works in Toronto.
