Hi! I'm Margot Stokreef
My philosophy is to make movement accessible for all ages and bodies through a compassionate approach that is empowering and grounded in tradition.
I started my yoga journey in 1991 in Tokyo, Japan where I was given a prenatal practice by a very wise doctor.
Twelve years later I found my way to yoga and graduated in 2009 from the Breathe Yoga Teacher Training Program.
I continue to be an avid learner. I completed further teacher training in Yoga for Seniors, PreNatal and Post Natal, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga and Ayurveda, and Yoga Therapy Program at Yoga Therapy Toronto. I am certified to lead teacher training programs and support the programmes at Downward Dog Yoga and Saor Studio.
In 2017 after two and a half years and over 1000 hours of study and practicum, I became certified as a Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) in the lineage of T. Krishnamacharya. I completed Mindful Movement Pilates Course in 2020 and continue to study anatomy and science of movement through this lens.
The foundation of my group teaching practice is through accessibility in movement and creating a sense of community.

I am a Certified Yoga Instructor (Yoga Alliance), Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and Pilates Teacher who lives and works in Toronto.
